STHS Performing Arts

This is the news everyone is waiting for… I will have the first set of photo updates posted by noon this Sunday the 25th. I haven’t had time to do any editing since the show and my first priority was completing the first set of edits on the photos and video from a wedding on the 10th. Things didn’t turn out too badly, I might post some samples on one of my sites after I get a chance to do another round of editing.

Photos from this year’s show are going to be the two performances only. It would have been too much work and too difficult to turn everything around from a rehearsal on a performance day and I didn’t want to go into the show blind (even though I can do that and still turn out good results). I was working on wedding photos last night from after dinner until past 3am and finished them up today. I’ve only been away from the computer long enough to do some laundry, take out the trash and get some sleep. Guess I’ll do my errands and grocery shopping after my CPR training tomorrow morning. I’m hoping to have act 1 completed and processed in time to upload everything from work on Sunday, anything more is a bonus.

A few people have asked about a video. Yes I did shoot a video from the booth of Saturday’s rehearsal and the two shows. I’m working on converting everything to digital format so I can do the editing. This was a completely unattended process, I haven’t watched everything during the conversion and haven’t decided on whether or not I’ll release it for public sale. It looks like if I do release it for sale you’ll get Saturday’s show plus Sunday’s presentations as the rehearsal was minus a few people and Sunday was shot with a filter as an experiment. I’ll make a decision once all the other work is completed and I’ve had time to prepare and preview a DVD. This is probably a few weeks away.
