Wildwood DVD

I screwed up with the Wildwood DVD. Apparently I ordered it shortly after moving here. I don’t really remember when I ordered it, but I gave them my Maryland PO Box. I cancelled that PO Box a few weeks ago. I went to the post office today and they didn’t have anything for me, so I guess I just have to wait for them to forward it. It’s the same post office in this small town, so I’m hoping that someone just has to walk it across the room and give it to the carrier that does my apartment complex. Oh well.

If you’re bored, do a Google video search for DCI, there’s lots of interesting stuff out there. Various individuals and organizations have leaked entire show videos and a bunch of parking lot park & blow type clips. I even found some rehearsal clips from a tuba player’s vantage point

I finally got a call about the indoor guard stuff I ordered from BVP. If I get in touch with them tomorrow to tell them again what exactly I ordered a couple months ago, I might have something by the end of the month. I’m also doing some behind the scenes work to try to improve my sites a little bit, but at the same time reduce costs, move everything onto a server that I own and into a facility that I can manage things myself. Once this is done, maybe I can make a couple bucks to cover my expenses. Hopefully I’ll have the changes made by September, then I can try to upgrade everything to Gallery2.

The whole 7am-4pm work schedule is tiring, but it might allow me to catch a couple rehearsals if I want to. Starting in August, I will not be working Fridays so I could make football games if I wanted to. The big thing is I will be working Sundays instead, so there will be some delays in getting the site updated, but I will do what I can.

As always, more when I have some news and have some idea of what’s going on…

Indoor Guard DVDs

Indoor guard DVDs were ordered today. 2005 finals, 2002-2004 prelims. I have another DVD here. They’ll be here in about 6 weeks because I have them throw everything on one disc to save money. I also have a 2003 KIDA championships DVD, and I need to call the production company that handled 2001. If I made any mistakes, let me know. If there’s something else you want, ship some cash my way, better yet, order it and have it sent to the address listed on my contact page.

As previously mentioned, indoor guard photos from chapters at CD East (ST & Ephrata’s performances) will be available this weekend, and I intend to start working on them shortly.

Indoor Guard Updates

I posted the photos from the Souderton show a few weeks ago. Susquehanna Twp photos at http://www.sthsband.org/gallery/ under Indoor Guard. Photos from Ephrata and two Kutztown groups by request at http://www.nrs2.org/gallery/view_album.php?set_albumName=album222. I will not be able to make it to Wildwood in May for the TOB indoor events, but will be at chapters at CD east at the end of April.

One video and permission obtained and en route to me, waiting until after Wildwood to order several more, need to track down the company responsible for KIDA 2001.

I am currently working on photos from Tottenville HS’s production of Jesus Christ Superstar and at this rate it could be another week until I am finished. I may be looking for some volunteer technicians to do some help and training next Feb/March/April (whenever their show is). Details next school year.

Looks like I’m moving to Maryland, but I don’t have the full plans yet. More when I finish THS’s show pics.

Indoor Guard Updates

Greetings from Maryland, don’t ask me to explain the what where and why of my living experiences, it’s complicated.

Indoor guard videos: The VHS tapes aren’t in great shape, in short, I need to reorder everything. I will get to ordering the ones from BVP after Wildwood. Whether or not I will actually be there will be decided when I see my real work schedule. Currently pending permission from Talos4 Enterprises on one of the KIDA videos, and need to track down the copyright holder of the other video.

Indoor guard photos: Souderton show, I have photos from Ephrata, ST, Kutztown’s Scholastic Jr squad and the Kutztown HS twirlers. I also have several non indoor guard related photo sets to work on and will be heading to Staten Island this weekend for Tottenville HS’s production of Jesus Christ Superstar. I even rented a special lens (Canon image stabilizer technology) as a test. If I’m happy with how it works, I will probably rent a similar lens for TIA chapter championships and Wildwood.

NRS Media Services is now officially a school business partner for STSD. There probably won’t be much for me to get involved with until the summer or next school year, so that will be another details later type deal. I will post further information if and when I get additional work done be it photo or video. Feel free to comment, email, im or call with questions or whatever comes to mind. Indoor Guard Videos

I’m working on indoor guard videos from the past few years. I created a DVD master to work with, but the original videos have some problems. I have to contact Talos 4 for permission to use the two KIDA videos, and if they ok it, I will reorder them on DVD. I will be reordering the 3 TOB shows on DVD from BVP sometime before the fall depending on the financial outlook from my new job. Cash or paypal donations are accepted if you want to speed up the process, or just plain want to order them for me.

Photos from last week’s indoor guard show at Hershey have been posted. I have some indoor guard videos that I will be working on over the next couple days, so keep an eye out for them.

I won’t be at Parkland because my Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator class starts next week and next Saturday is one of the few Saturday classes. I’m not sure about Wildwood yet because I may be relocating for a new job. More on that when I know what’s happening.
